Welcome to my 2020 - Print - Canvas - Photo Calendar Blog


Well I'm doing another project for 2020. It's solely for stock images for calendars, mounted canvas prints and prints. I will also be setting up an online store too, so keep coming back to see the latest photographs. So here's to another year chasing the light.

Took this photo bonfire night, It was such a peaceful and tranquil setting all you could hear was birds settling for the night l. It reminded me of the sounds that used to be on the TV series in the 70s survival can anyone remember it ?

Love the big blue sky and fluffy white clouds on this picture, I was lying on the grass to get a different perspective and to include the dandelions. It took 15 minutes to get this, because as soon as I got down the sun went it typical..

Took this tonight, the sky was beautiful, like a scene from the science fiction movie 'Total Recall'. I don't think I have ever seen the sky as red, rushed around to near the wind turbines to take the photo there were a couple of other people further round taking photos.

I knew about the super moon coming in April so I travelled up to the church early to get a decent vantage point to get the photo. This is a double exposure shot before anyone asks taken at the same time by changing focal length of lens.

Rutter Falls - Appleby 
Took this photo of Rutter Falls earlier this week, you couldn't use the ford to cross the river the water was that high. Last time I was here it was just a little bit of a waterfall but today it was in full flow. I love it in black and white just adds to the subject.

I love this area of Sedgefield, especially the winter sunsets are beautiful. I love the stray light in the camera which adds to the mood you could think it was the middle of summer but it was freezing.

Took this today when on the way home from Hartlepool took the scenic route the sky looked quite interesting and cried out for black and white. I personally think that metal work nearly always looks better in black and white.

December is here on we're on the last month where's this year gone.

December is here and this year has flown over, It's been a big year of changes, good times and bad times the same as everyone else but it hasn't half flown over. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year its meant a lot.

Took this photo tonight this is a beautiful tree and church but it seems like the other two Trimdon are neglected. The tree at Trimdon Grange with next to nothing on it, and Trimdon Colliery the same. We seem like the poor relations.

November is here on we're on month eleven the month of long shadows

November is here on we're on month eleven the month of long shadows, I will try to post a few more photos this month.
I will be doing a couple of sample calendars this year again these will be on preview over the next few days, with a mixture of local, Cumbrian - Lake District and Yorkshire photos. You would think we lived in a different country we have had nothing but rain the last couple of weeks. Took this photo last night just as the sun was going down over a beautiful beach.

Took Elaine and Kim out today they wanted to get some shopping and some fish and chips in the cafe along the sea front. We noticed how rough the sea was getting so we called along the Headland to take a couple for photos. Turned it black and white for a more dramatic photo.

This is a lovely road through the fells and it doesn't make much time difference if you are in the area. I have always loved these trees they remind me a bit if the game of thrones tree lined road.

Halloween at Whitby . 
Called to Whitby on the way home tonight, I couldn't resist when I was coming over the moors and noticed the Abbey all lit up in all its glory with lots of different colours. The grounds were packed and you can see a light trail at the bottom right from a passing torch.

I had a few jobs in Yorkshire and I had to divert back to York when I was on the moors the sat nav took me through Grosmont and i was luckily enough to be going through when the train was going through the station.

My Beautiful Pups Lily and Luna. 
Its been at least two months since I have had the pups over Hardwick Park I have been that busy, they're a year old now. The 10 months have flown over since we got them, I've been out delivery wedding albums etc and took the pups with me. We called at the park as it was a lovely evening and had a lovely walk around the lake, what a beautiful place this is and it's on our doorstep.

August now we missed July.....

August 2019, Well we have already started our eight month and now it's really flying this year its going too fast. I have been missing a month or so because of other commitments and family bereavement of losing my Dad so I decided to take a break. I don't think that I will be posting everyday unless I see something really good. A few people have said they miss seeing the daily photos so I will try my best to keep it going, Thanks again for the comments and likes

Beautiful Sunflower Field. 
I stumbled on this beautiful sunflower field in Yorkshire on Wednesday. This is the first time I have ever seen a full field of Sunflowers and what a sight it was, I'm posting two photos for it it was so pretty. I think you will agree how lovely they look and I was astounded how beautiful they are. I never thought they grew them in this country.
