Old Man's Baccy in Flower.
Took this today while out with Bailey doing a prom tonight so won't have time to post later tonight as I normally do, I took some of this plant earlier in the year when it had died off so its nice to see one in flower.

Moore Memorial Fountain at Wigton.
This large and impressive granite fountain to the memory of his wife and was erected by George Moore in 1872.
It stands in the centre of Wigton on each side of the fountain is a bronze relief by the famous Pre-Raphaelite Sculptor Thomas Woolner. p.s has chucked down all day...

Ribblehead Railway Station.
Called here today on the way from Cumbria to Masham the weather was quite overcast but it had been raining heavily at Cumbria at lunch time. Ribblehead is a beautiful station which was originally built in 1876 and then refurbished with a new roof and repairs and reopened in 2000

Sedgefield Church Re-visited.
Stormy Skies over Sedgefield this evening so I took this after getting fuel for the car. I took another photo at the same place on Day 54 but it was a night shot. Took this with a high ISO to get a bit of grain-noise and character into photo.

Stockton National Road Championship Cycling.
Popped along to Thorpe Thewles this afternoon to catch some of the cycling this was taken when they are coming down from Stillington to Thorpe Thewles and they were flying although it doesn't look it but the camera has frozen the movement.

Poppies.
After a very sad day of saying farewell to Madge my mother in law. I had to do an errand when I saw these poppies and thought it was very apt as Madge used to nurse wounded soldiers in the second world war. R.I.P Madge 1923- 2016.

Flock of Sheep.
Took this today near Millom they took a good five minutes to pass, country life at its best. There must have been 300 sheep in the flock moving from one field to another.

Bare Trees Revisited Day 22.
Revisited day 22 today to see what the scene looks like when the trees and hedges have their summer look. I cannot believe it is 150 days since I took this last time. I think we take for granted the countryside it looks so lovely in all the seasons when I originally took the photo the trees were totally bare now they are in full bloom.

Favourite Trees.
Well the weather has been pretty abysmal again today for June with rain and drizzle. Photo opportunities were again limited but I noticed that my Favourite tree had eventually got some leaves on it's always the last one to get leaves and the first to loose them.
Love the line in the crop that your eye follows to the big tree.

Walney Island Boat Wrecks.
Saw the boats in the estuary this morning when the tide was a long way out, with the wild sea lavender flowers which are lovely against the old boats in the mud.

St Bees Railway Station.
I was over Cumbria today near St Bees I have seen the Railway Station quite a few times but not with the lovely big fluffy clouds and blue sky which always looks great in Black and White. The Station and building were built in 1860 by Mr J Townley of Whitehaven it also has a lovely signal box on the opposite side of the platform

Fairy House.
Took this in my garden this afternoon.
This is the fairy that my daughter Kim made at Durham 6th form college while she was studying Art. Over the years her stained glass wings have fell off but she is 11 yrs old. Elaine now makes the little fairy house and other bits a pieces as her little hobby.

Tyne Eye Sculpture Little Haven.
These are the words that are wrote around either side of the sculpture.
The eye has writing on either side,
'But my eye could not see it wherever might be it,
The barque that is bearing my lover to me' on this side.
Then 'Blow the wind southerly, southerly, southerly, Blow bonnie breeze, my lover to me'.
We had a lovely ride out today up to South Shields, then down the coast stopping for lunch just above Roker Beach at the Bungalow Cafe (all day breakfast) then down through whitburn to seaham finishing at Seaton Carew, grand day out !!

East Cole Lighthouse Silloth.
I was over Cumbria today and at my last job I noticed the Old Lighthouse just over the road from where I was. The lighthouse was built in 1834 and they used to push it along rails, then it was fixed in place in 1914 at the optimum position. There was dabbled cloudy and sunny rays poking through but very humid and did I mention 24 degrees...

Seascale Seafront.
June is here and the first Day of Summer, I was over Cumbria today for the first day of summer where the weather was beautiful. I took this photo at Seascale Beachfront where kids were building sandcastles on the beach and the car park was packed. When I left Trimdon at 7.30am it was cold damp and a bit misty, not at all June weather or the first day of summer. When I got over Cumbria just past Keswick the sun was splitting the trees and it even got up to 22 degrees.
